What is included?

One white headband headset with its attached cable, inline microphone, controller and 4-pole 3.5 mm plug. No amplifier, transmitter, additional cable or other accessory is included. iRoger MAX is sold separately.

Which functions work with MAX?

Use this headset for listening through iRoger MAX, hands-free phone calls from a compatible paired phone, and MAX headset mode control. The microphone and controller are part of the headset; a plain listening-only headphone plug does not provide these functions.

What does 4-pole 3.5 mm mean?

The TRRS plug has four metal contacts separated by three insulating rings. Insert it fully into MAX's headphone output with the listening volume low. A matching plug size alone does not guarantee another headset's microphone or remote controls will work with MAX.

Can I use my own headphones or earbuds?

Yes. IR8, I8-Pro and MAX accept your own 3.5 mm wired headphones or earbuds for listening. For MAX hands-free calling and headset mode control, choose a MAX-compatible headset with its own inline controller and microphone, such as this white headset or the IR3245 replacement in-ear earbuds.

How is this different from the smaller-head headphones?

Using MAX with TV audio or a remote microphone

Headphones stay wired to MAX when an optional TX sends a TV or remote microphone source wirelessly. TX has no headphone output.
